Synopsis:  A consideration about the process of weaning an individual from a ventilator from admission to weaning.   There is also a discussion of an individual's typical medical status and how once in a program the interdisciplinary team drives the treatment process and sets goals towards weaning.  The conversation moves to the actual weaning process and what will happen post-weaning.  Considered are Individual and family supports as well as the discharge planning process and returning home.
